Moon Bloom Tea Company is run by two Americans, Takeshi and Sarah Horiguchi. They met and fell in love in Japan and wanted to bring back something they were passionate about. Takeshi resided in Kyoto for 8 years and developed a love for Uji green tea, often riding his motorcycle across winding lush mountains to talk to local tea farmers. Having family in Japan and also Taiwan, he also plans to introduce high mountain Oolong teas from Ali-san. Sarah resided in Fukui for 4 years, where she ran her own coffee and tea shop, a cafe she named Moon Bean. There she made artisan sweets and pastries, often infusing teas and coffee into her baking. Both hope to continue to show their passion about tea and the culture behind it in the US. Sarah has plans to open a tea house in her hometown in Georgia and Takeshi hopes to share what he's found to be the best teas from both sides of his family in Japan and Taiwan.
